Scam alert: $392 settlement call – what to do!
Summary — +19045418352
Expert Opinion
Late night callers often sound urgent, claiming a mysterious legal matter and a settlement offer of $392 tied to your Social Security number. The script repeats across dozens of reports, uses vague references to credit bureaus, and threatens court action if you don’t pay. Because no legitimate agency asks for money before providing written proof, treat any such voicemail as a classic scam. Hang up, block the spoofed number, and never share personal or financial data. Report the call to the FTC and your state consumer protection office, and keep a log in case the spoofing persists.
