Expert Opinion
Block the number immediately on your phone and any linked landline, then add it to your carrier’s spam list. Record each call with date, time, and caller ID details; this log strengthens any complaint you file. Contact the provincial consumer protection agency and the Better Business Bureau, providing your call log and any voicemails. If the calls persist after you’ve asked to cease, report the harassment to police, noting the frequency and any threats. Consider placing a do‑not‑call request with the national robocall registry. Staying organized and escalating through the proper channels usually forces the collector to stop.
