Scam calls from Fair Oaks, CA – how to protect yourself!
Summary — +19162414746
Expert Opinion
Recent patterns show a single number (916‑241‑4746) repeatedly appears as “Fair Oaks, CA” on caller ID, followed by brief rings, hang‑ups, or an “Extension 5 is busy” message. Callers never leave a voicemail and often claim to update a database or sell window services, which aligns with classic robocall scams. The volume—multiple daily rings—suggests an automated dialing list targeting both consumer and small‑business phones. To stay safe, add the number to your block list, register your line with the national Do‑Not‑Call registry, and never share personal data with unknown callers. If a call feels suspicious, hang up and report it to your carrier or the FTC.
