Expert Opinion
Clearly fraudulent, these calls masquerade as legal notices to pressure you into calling a toll‑free number. Most recipients describe a recorded male voice, vague references to serving papers, and a demand for personal ID—classic traits of a legal scam robocall. Never share Social Security numbers, banking details, or sign any documents without confirming the caller’s identity through official channels. Use your phone’s block feature, report the number to the FTC or your carrier, and consider a call‑blocking app. If you suspect a debt collector is involved, request written proof of the debt before engaging further. Stay skeptical and protect your data.

A robotic voice claims to be addressing legal issues, but this is a scam.
Luckly i didnt answer the call, thank you for the warning about it bein a scam
Receiving a suspicious call from a person claiming to be Johnny Johnson from Legal carrier services, stating they will serve papers in 3-5 days, is definately a robo call scamm. They requested two pieces of identification and provided an 888 number to resolve the issue, however I have no ongoing legal matters.
A series of calls were made from this 916 number, as well as from (888) 318-3284, with messages from an individual claiming to be Harvey Segal from Point Legal Services. The messages included threats of filing paperwork and warned of impending legal action if I didn't contact them. The legitimacy of these claims is questionable, and I'm unsure how to proceed.
The call sounded like a robocall, featuring a recorded male voice that didn't address me by name or provide any information about the caller or their affiliation; it warned that someone would be serving papers at my home between 3 and 5 pm and instructed me to call an 800 number, which seems like a scam, especially since I have no pending legal issues.
