NYC Child Support Scam Calls – How to Protect Yourself!
Summary — +19292215050
Expert Opinion
Recent call logs show a surge of inbound calls from +1‑929‑221‑5050 claiming to be NYC Child Support Administration agents. Callers often request personal details, reference case numbers, and hang up when asked for verification, a hallmark of social engineering scams. Recipients should never share address, SSN, or banking info without initiating a callback through official agency channels. If a voicemail is left, note the time and any reference numbers, then independently locate the agency’s verified phone number online. Consider adding the number to a block list and report the incident to the NY Department of Consumer Protection.
