Target gift card texts: how to spot the scam!
Summary — +19852014155
Expert Opinion
Ever wondered why a random text claims you won a $1,000 Target gift card? That message is almost always spam designed to harvest personal data or install malicious links. Never click the URL or enter a code—legitimate retailers never ask for that info via SMS. Forward the full text to 7726 to let your carrier investigate, and consider blocking the sender in your phone’s settings. Keep an eye on your accounts for any unauthorized activity, and report the incident to the FTC or your local consumer‑protection agency. Staying skeptical and acting quickly can stop the scam before it spreads.
