TargetPrizes text scam – how to protect yourself!
Summary — +19857189913
Expert Opinion
Definitely a scam, and the repeated "you won" message from +1‑985‑718‑9913 is a classic prize‑phishing ploy. Callers masquerade as legitimate brands like Target or Best Buy to lure users into clicking shady URLs. Block the number on your device and forward the message to 7726 to trigger carrier investigation. Report the incident to your mobile provider and the FTC to help curb future abuse. Avoid entering personal data or downloading links from unknown texts, and consider enabling spam filters. Staying vigilant and using built‑in carrier tools are the fastest ways to stop these unwanted solicitations.
