Solche Anrufe sind häufig sehr aggressiv, nutzen Angsttaktiken und geben oft falsche persönliche Daten preis. Datenklau ist ein zentrales Risiko – teilen Sie niemals Kontodaten, Sozialversicherungsnummer oder Passwörter. Nutzen Sie die Blockierfunktion Ihres Smartphones, melden Sie die Nummer bei Ihrem Netzbetreiber und informieren Sie die Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle. Bei wiederholten Anrufen kann auch eine Anzeige bei der Polizei sinnvoll sein.

Today, I received two calls from 00393334993364 within a span of 10 minutes. The first was a foreign voice speaking in broken English, claiming to have received a call from my number (nice attempt). I told him he was a scammer and hung up. The second call was from the same voice, but this time in Italian (clearly trying to engage me). I said, "you're calling from Italy - just go away". This number will be blocked.
