Red Star calls: how to spot the scam?
Summary — +441143030059
Expert Opinion
Ever wondered why calls from +441143030059 keep popping up on your handset? The number is linked to a persistent tele‑marketing operation that brands itself as Red Star, often pitching bogus energy‑supply, PPI refunds or credit‑card offers. Most callers are rude, provide no genuine identification and aim to harvest personal finance details – a classic scam. Hang up immediately if you cannot verify the source, and register the number with your network’s block list. Never disclose banking or personal data over the phone, and report the nuisance to the Information Commissioner’s Office. A quick call‑block can save you hours of annoyance.

This number appears to be active once more! BEC Consultants are attempting to sell Electric/Gas contracts. It's suspicious when they dial from a Yorkshire area code but lack the local accent!
I got a call from this number, the guy didnt reply right away, which made me think it was a call centre, there was chatter in the background, he asked for me by name, but sounded like some random guy, after asking who he was, he said he was from "RED STAR"
When I answered the call, the woman said hello, and after exchanging greetings, she responded with 'good on you' and terminated the call.
Someone called and asked if it was me. When I confirmed, the rude individual laughed and hung up. I wonder how they’d feel if they received cold calls.
Another company attempting to phish for PPI claims. They’re being very speculative—don’t fall for their tactics.
The person on the phone claimed to be from a company called Red Star, and they used my old adress and maiden name, then asked about my credit card history, but I didnt recall, so I told them I didnt have that information, they kept asking and then changed the subject to ask about my bank, but I refused to answer, they said they would call back, so I added the number to my block list, but atleast the person was polite.
Red Star is extremely rude and disrespectful. They hung up on me, and now the number is blocked. I’m fed up with this behavior. Merry Christmas!
Extremely impolite. When I asked about the purpose of the call, their response was: Didn’t you hear what I just said? I immediately ended the call.
Blocked this number after multiple calls.
They keep calling me. I answer but don't say anything, though it's amusing. As long as I don't get charged, I'm fine with it. Pmsl
