These scammers attempted to deceive me by claiming to be calling about my life cover, but their story fell apart when I asked for more information
Public Health England scam calls – how to stay safe
Summary — +441158241563
Expert Opinion
Earlier this week, a caller using the +44 115 824 1563 number pretended to be from Public Health England, asking about flu vaccinations and life insurance. Such calls are typical social‑engineering scams that rely on urgency and familiarity. Never disclose personal or financial details to unsolicited callers, even if they quote a familiar agency. Hang up and verify the organisation’s official contact number before responding. Register with the Telephone Preference Service, enable call‑blocking on your handset, and report persistent offenders to Action Fraud. Keeping a sceptical stance and limiting exposure are the best defence against these harassing scams.
