Sneaky 0 scams – how to protect yourself!
Summary — +44119
Expert Opinion
Oddly, the most common script begins with a bland service claim before spiralling into aggressive upsells. Callers exploiting the unassigned 0119 prefix masquerade as BT, Microsoft or Amazon, often slipping into harassing or threatening tones to coerce a response. Never press any keypad prompts and hang up immediately if you sense pressure. Register the number with your carrier’s block list and report the incident to Action Fraud. Keep personal details offline and verify any alleged issue by contacting the genuine provider through official channels. A quick‑check can stop a potential scam before it escalates.
