Expert Opinion
The number +441213189900 is almost certainly a scam or nuisance caller, with the majority of reports pointing towards harassment and fraudulent activity. The most common theme is fake accident claims, where callers attempt to convince individuals they’ve been involved in a car accident to extract personal information or money. This is a well-known insurance compensation scam, often targeting vulnerable individuals. Additionally, there are reports of inappropriate behaviour, such as calls targeting women with unwanted personal questions, and even threatening messages claiming the recipient has "killed someone." The callers often use aggressive tactics, including repeated calls and abusive language when challenged. Interestingly, despite the number appearing as a Birmingham area code, many users report it being flagged as international, suggesting the use of VoIP technology to mask the caller's true location. Given the persistent and disturbing nature of these calls, it’s advisable to block the number and report it to authorities like Action Fraud.
