They masqueraded as Virgin, already had some of my personal data and requested my bank details to offer a supposedly better broadband deal.
Suspicious broadband offers—beware!
Summary — +441223603232
Expert Opinion
This number links to fraudulent broadband offers, often posing as Virgin or Sky reps to extract personal info like dates of birth and bank details. Callers switch numbers mid-conversation to dodge suspicion, a classic scam tactic. Hang up immediately if they claim prior contact or push for sensitive data—legit firms won't demand this unsolicited. Block the number and report to Action Fraud or your provider to curb wider harm. Stay vigilant; sharing details risks identity theft, so verify callers independently via official channels.

A person introduced herself as Michelle Parker and claimed to discuss my broadband, insisting we had spoken before. Since I had never spoken with her, I ended the call.
These appear to be scammers.
They harassed me, posing as Sky, and tried to extract personal data, insisting they needed my date of birth to finish a Virgin form now managed by Sky.
Almost fell for it; she knew my birth date without me providing it. When I asked if she worked for Vodafone or any UK utility, the answer was no – clearly a scam. First called from London, now switched to Cambridge.
Initially I was called from a London number, and when I pretended not to hear them they switched to a Cambridge line – very suspicious behaviour.
In the early evening I answered a call where the person claimed to be from Openreach and asked about my provider; I hung up.
Because my phone flagged the call as spam, I didn’t pick up and no voicemail was left, which suggests a scam.
