Telemarketing energy checks: avoid the trap

a representative from The Energy Centre called, asking for someone by surname, and when I informed them they had the wrong number, they became disgruntled, muttered incoherently, and terminated the call; I suggest they find a more respectable occupation and cease harassing innocent individuals

A man from this number called, asking for someone else. After I said no, there was a long pause before he hung up.

Despite blocking this number, I continue to receive voicemails from them, which is frustrating and harassing, and I'm unsure how to report them.

An impolite man phoned regarding an energy assessment for windows - he was aware of my name and address and inquired about my availability. He abruptly ended the call upon hearing that the windows were recently installed. Concerns about a potential break-in arose, but my disabled son and our dog are home throughout the day! Such bothersome calls.

I dont answer unknown numbers, if every body did the same, these companys would give up soon

Caller inquired about a Mr Dominic, to which I replied that no such person resided here and promptly ended the call, questioning the legitimacy of the call given the GDPR regulations

Multiple calls were made, with a message of unintelligible noise left on voicemail.

01233236107 has called me several times, claiming to be from an energy efficiency company conducting checks on older homes in the area. I informed them I wasn’t interested and requested they remove my number from their list, as I am registered with the call preference service, after which they hung up.

Upon calling, it went straight to voicemail with unclear background noises. Attempts to reach someone resulted in being instructed to wait for a consultant.

Background noise suggested a call center, prompting me to block the number immediately
