Two calls were made from 01274061640, but no message was left on the answering machine, raising suspicions of a bogus call.
Ten minutes ago, I received a call from this number, but I didn't answer since it was unknown to me. After checking the number here, it appeared to be a scam, so I have blocked it. I advise scammers to cease their efforts.
A female caller identified herself as being with 'Advantage'. She knew my name and address and inquired about the approximate age of my windows, mentioning an energy check. When I suggested that they might be selling new windows after the check, she denied it emphatically and ended the call politely when she realized I wasn't interested. No government affiliation was mentioned.

Following a call from this number, where the caller declined to leave a message, I have chosen to block it and appreciate the service provided by this website in helping to prevent nuisance calls.

This is clearly a fraudulent attempt
Despite not answering calls from unrecognized numbers, this one from 01274061640 on 21.6.22 will be reported to Action Fraud, as these incessant calls are frustrating and disruptive.
A company identifying itself as 'Advantage', allegedly funded by the government via Pilkington, contacted me to discuss surveying and measuring the efficiency of window glass over 10 years old, which seems questionable given my registration with the Telephone Preference Service.
