Expert Opinion
These calls are classic scams, often using pre-recorded voices or scripts to pose as local health workers. The caller, often identified as "Sam," claims to be offering a free emergency pendant or alarm based on your health records. They might insist you're eligible despite contradicting information, and their speech can be stilted and robotic. If you receive such a call, it’s best to hang up immediately. Don’t provide any personal information, and consider blocking the number. Always verify any health-related offers through official channels like your doctor or local health department. Stay vigilant and report these calls to help others avoid falling victim.
