A very aggressive individual called regarding the renewal of washing machine insurance. Even though the call connected after I answered, I decided to play along. It was when he inquired about my card details that I sensed something was off. It could have been easy to fall for it, especially since we do have washing machine insurance. The questions were cleverly designed to extract information, such as asking if they should add my name to the policy along with my partner's, what my name is, whether I was using the visa debit or mastercard on file, and to confirm the expiry date. Please stay vigilant, everyone.
