When I picked up, nobody spoke before the line dropped; I blocked the number. Calling back resulted in an immediate hang‑up with no ring.
I got a call from someone claiming to be from Legal Assist, saying I was owed a big payout, no commission, and that I should pay an introduction fee by card – obviously a scam. The caller mentioned Ely, perhaps because I have relatives there, and sounded like an Asian call‑centre operator.
