At 9:30 am on Friday 6 June a call came through from this number; I didn’t recognise the display, let it hit my answering service and the bot hung up straight away with no message, mate – now blocked.

Even though I usually ignore unknown numbers, I answered. A foreign lady mentioned my name, claimed it wasn’t a sales call and talked about a government incentive. When she asked if I owned a home, I lied and said no. She then abruptly cut the call, without any thank‑you or goodbye, reminding me not to answer unfamiliar calls.
Ignored it, no voicemail, suspect a scam and after checking here I blocked the number, mate.

When I asked for someone not on my line and politely requested an update, the scammer got a banshee‑like scream from my wife – hope they enjoy the tinnitus, lol.
That call reeked of a scam, posing as a government scheme, even knew my name and asked about home ownership after saying they weren’t selling anything – I hung up, no worries.
Got no voicemail – it rang in Durham, looks like a scammer, mate.
