I was warned about this number, which alleges to be selling mobile phones.
VOIP line owned by South Africans posing as Fonehouse in Pontypool.
A message came through: "Hello, Fonehouse here regarding your Vodafone contract renewal. For available options, ring 01495 654487." This seems dodgy since Vodafone would contact directly, not via outsiders.
Ignored the ring, no voicemail followed. Probably spam or unwanted.
They rang and dropped a voice message claiming 'Your Vodafone deal needs renewing—dial 01495654487 for choices.' But I'm not even with Vodafone. Sounded like a Welsh bird. Total con job.

Received a call from 01495 654487 on 06-02-25, showed as Wales. Picked up to a young bloke with a Welsh lilt claiming to be from Fonehouse on behalf of Vodafone. He mentioned my contract was up for renewal per their info. Told him it's not due yet, he mumbled 'oh' and hung up. I'm actually with Vodafone, but renewal's not imminent. Must've guessed from my number (or they know), and they had my name too. Dodgy as anything.
