Why the NHS is calling you from a Liverpool number?

This is an NHS number, though it's unusual as I've received calls from different NHS departments in Liverpool, all of which have been legitimate.

I received a follow-up call from the NHS after reporting a positive COVID-19 lateral flow test, and they inquired about my symptoms and whether I considered myself high-risk.

This was a NHS call back regarding some emails they sent me

This number is genuinly from the NHS, i have recieved voicemail messages from them to book nurse appointments.

They rang twice, but I’ve no idea which department it was. I can’t call back as the number doesn’t accept incoming calls. Now I’m left concerned it might have been important, especially as I’m undergoing cancer treatment. Although it’s a genuine NHS number, it’s frustrating there’s no way to verify who called.

Merseycare and Prescot, Liverpool, are associated with this number, which is listed on the NHS website, and I have experienced no problems.

An NHS call came through, but I missed it. No message was left, leaving us unaware of which department was trying to reach us. There should be a callback option available.
