The person on the phone claimed to be from a boiler service company, and said i was eligable for a discount on my boiler cover, but they wanted my bank details, which seem suspisous
They wouldn’t accept my refusal and called back four times after I hung up. Very aggressive, they tried to get banking details from my elderly relative. Initially claiming not to sell anything, they then stated it would cost £19.99 per month, which they claimed was much cheaper than British Gas. This is a prime example of aggressive hard selling.
Claimed to be from a boiler service company, offering a discount due to no previous call-outs. They had my details from a shared database, including name, address, and phone number. Never heard of them. It’s a scam to get bank details. They refused to provide their company address. Block them.
They made the call but didnt say anything, and I have noted this number.
The person on the phone said they could reduce my boiler and central heating payment, but they already knew my name and address, which made me uncomfortable, so i hung up

Somebody rang about boiler cover, I assured her we didnt have boiler cover so she rang off, definately a scam and I've blocked the number
It's likely that this is the same scammer, who appears to be wasting time, and should be avoided.
This is a scam. I received a recorded message concerning my home appliance cover which is supposedly expiring. Curiously, I've never owned such coverage. Clearly, this is a predatory scam. It's best to hang up on these unscrupulous individuals.
It's worth noting that numerous posts explain the nature of scam calls and texts, and surprisingly, few are reported, which scammers tend to exploit. A crucial piece of advice is to never return a call from an unknown number, as it could be a 'wangiri' scam. Given that these numbers are often computer-generated, they might belong to an unsuspecting individual or a genuine scammer. It's essential to be cautious with cold callers and avoid confirming personal details. If the caller claims to be from your bank, it's best to assume it's a scam, but don't ignore it. Instead, contact your bank using the number on your bank card to verify the authenticity. Be aware that scammers can spoof legitimate business numbers, including those of banks. Not all unknown calls without a message are scams, and simply answering the call won't put you at risk. A safe approach is to say 'who's calling?' and report the incident if it's a scam.
Presume this is a scam as I don’t have boiler insurance
