Expert Opinion
Ever wonder why calls from +44 161 4649 290 keep popping up on your screen? The pattern points to a persistent loan‑scam operation that masquerades as a legitimate lender, often using aggressive high‑pressure tactics and promises of instant cash. They typically request bank details up front, threaten to withdraw funds, and disappear once they have your information. If you receive an unsolicited call, hang up immediately and block the number. Never share personal or financial data unless you have independently verified the company's credentials. Report the number to your network provider and to Action Fraud, and consider placing a note on your credit file to flag potential fraud. Stay sceptical and protect your details.

Earlier today, I received a missed call from the number 01618149622. Upon returning the call, I was informed that the caller represented ILC Loans in Manchester and that my loan application had been accepted. However, my initial enthusiasm was soon replaced by scepticism, as the affordability checker Finwell failed to verify my details, and the caller persisted in requesting that I use an alternative email address. Further research revealed that this number has been linked to suspicious activities, confirming my intuition that the call was fraudulent.
Following my online loan applications, I received a call from 0161 814 8660, supposedly from a person named Noah, who congratulated me on being accepted, but the conversation took a suspicious turn when he asked for my bank details and the line cut out, and I later discovered the email he sent was dubious, addressing me as 'love' throughout, which raised my suspicions, especially after finding this site indicating it was a scam, originating from Manchester
After applying for a loan online, I got a call from this number today and they told me my loan was approved, but things started to seem fishy when they kept calling me "love" and couldnt answer my questions about the interest rate, I asked them to send a email to confirm everyting but they insisted I fill in my details on rpqtracker.com first

The caller insisted I had been approved for an online loan, but I didn't recognise the company name; when I asked further questions and inquired about online reviews, the caller became irritated and ended the call
This is clearly a scam. They don’t provide loans or phones, just take details and drain accounts. Staff are rude; no real company behaves like this.
After applying for some loans online, I recieved a call from a guy named “Duane”, he said my loan was approved, but then he asked me to register with scoresmatter.co.uk, which I think is a scam, I've since reported them to consents.online, please do the same and spam they're email
During a call, the person on the other end, who claimed to be based in Nottingham, asked for my postcode.
These people are trying to trick you into autorising a payment of £69.99, they talk very fast and try to get you to say yes without realizing it, when I asked for more informations they just hung up
ILC Independent Loan informed me that my loan request had been approved. When I began to ask questions, the person on the line questioned why I didn't trust the company before abruptly hanging up. They are definitely a scam.

Received a call congratulating me on a loan, inquiring about my bank, and claiming they needed to perform a social media check via text! Upon questioning their FCA approval and the absence of a website, panic was evident in their voice, prompting me to hang up and block the number. They already possessed a significant amount of my personal information, which is quite alarming. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS!!

ILC LOANS offered quick cash but sounded too good to be true. Pushy sales pitch. I'd steer clear.
I’ve been contacted by several numbers—01432803177, 01924979444, 01603514965, 01432803177, 01215999588, 01392343230—while applying for a loan. Initially, it seemed legitimate when she informed me my loan was approved and sent a link. She only requested my address and network provider. I followed the link to a credit score company, which redirected me to consents.online, where I mistakenly granted full bank access. Realising my error, I promptly cancelled my subscription and informed my bank to block access. She called again, questioning my cancellation, insisting I’d receive my loan within 24/48 hours and an email from ilc abc. I’m usually cautious but was actively seeking a loan. Avoid sharing any information with these individuals. I’ll wait, though I doubt the loan will materialise.

By posing as a sex line operator, I have devised a strategy to outsmart scam artists. I instruct them to call me back on my premium rate number, and then I guide them through a fake application process, ultimately resulting in my being compensated for my efforts.
ILC Loans called about my application, but I'm not sure if it's legit. Proceed with caution.
