After ordering from ao.com, I received calls within the hour. I didn't answer and decided to block the number to avoid unsolicited sales calls.
How to Block Persistent AO.com Harassment Calls!

Expert Opinion
Block the number if you’re tired of unexpected calls. AO.com often follows up purchase confirmations with scripted insurance offers that provide little value and can quickly become a nuisance. Under data protection rules, you have the right to request that the company stop contacting you for marketing purposes and to ask that your personal data not be shared with third‑party warranty providers. Keep a log of call timestamps, report persistent silent calls to your carrier, and consider adding the number to your phone’s do‑not‑call list. Regularly review your online checkout settings to opt‑out of post‑order sales calls.

The caller from this number attempts to deceive you into purchasing additional insurance by claiming to update you on a delivery, despite having already received emails and text messages regarding the same. When questioned about the logic of purchasing further insurance after they failed to uphold their initial promise of a morning delivery, they seemed unconcerned.

AO Insurance appears to be a scam. Clearly, AO is not familiar with GDPR. I'm seriously considering cancelling my order due to their deceitful practices during a supposed aftercare call, which was actually focused on selling unnecessary insurance. This is a clear violation of privacy regulations under the Data Protection Act and GDPR.

AO.com rang with aggressive advertising, pushing sales hard despite me saying I'm not buying. Felt more like pressure than helpful advice. Not impressed.
Although the caller claimed to be verifying order details, it seemed like a pretext for selling an extended warranty. When I declined, they inquired about my reasoning but ultimately accepted my explanation, which highlighted the long-term cost ineffectiveness of such warranties.
For over a year, this number has been contacting me to sell insurance, despite my explicit requests to stop, which constitutes harassment.
The purpose of the call was supposedly to confirm delivery, but it was really an attempt to sell me an extended warranty; the representative was overly familiar and annoying
This number called me 6 times, so I've now blocked it
The conversation about my AO order was fairly cordial and did not seem harassing in any way.
This number belongs to AO.COM, a reputable source. After purchasing an appliance, they called to confirm details. However, the representative was quite insistent about setting up a domestic and general insurance for £7 a month. It was frustrating since the appliance already comes with a two-year warranty. If I wanted D&G warranty, I would have contacted them directly. Cold calling customers to push sales is unwelcome.
The frequent and persistent calls from this number are a source of irritation and annoyance
Be cautious with this number due to potential risks.
