My father got a call from this number, asking for his late wife, which suggests it's a scam

The caller refused to identify herself or her purpose. I disconnected. She rang back, so I spoke in a different language, prompting her to hang up. Approach with caution!

Received a suspicious call regarding a supposed takeover of Lloyds TSB

A well-spoken gentleman rang, asking for my late son and mentioning something about shares in a football club. I told him to contact my husband instead, and he hung up.

Julia's call was suspicious, with imperfect English that raised concerns about a potential scam

A woman introduced herself as Julia Gibson from the Acquisition Department, mentioning a Lloyds Banking Group takeover and share sale, which turned out to be a share fraud scam. Reported to the FCA and Action Fraud.

A call was received today at pm (2/12/24) from a woman with a pronounced accent, possibly of Asian origin, inquiring about my share holdings in various banks; she possessed my correct address, although I have never held shares, making it clear that this was a scam, and she promptly hung up upon being informed of this.

A womans voice with american accent claim she was calling about my husbands bank share, but i hung up immediatly.

The caller inquired about my shares in Lloyds or Halifax, which is undoubtedly a scam - do not respond to it

A man rang, claiming to represent a group trying to buy out Centrica and asked if I’d sell my shares. 48% of shareholders were apparently interested. He asked for my email but I refused. Centrica has since warned about such scams.

Received a call about old Laura Ashley shares that were liquidated. It’s obviously a scam. Best to block the number.

Upon recieving a call from this number on my house phone today, the caller adresssed me by name and mentioned my adress, clearly obtained from the BT directory, and proceeded to discuss my Centrica shares in a polite yet persistant manner, eventully asking me to consider a potensial deal, to which I reponded that I would only considder it if they contacted me in writing

During the call, the individual claimed to be discussing bank shares, specifically those held by my late mother, but their intentions seemed suspicious, leading me to terminate the conversation

I've had calls from them befor, now i've blocked the number
