The callers claimed to be my local energy adviser, yet I told them I already have one and that nobody called 'Jackie' – pretty dodgy, so I blocked them!

Expert Opinion
Ever wondered why unsolicited calls about energy savings keep popping up? These persistent attempts to pose as your 'local energy advisor' scream scam tactics, often using fake names like 'Jackie' to build false trust. Comments reveal repeated harassment, vague pitches for solar or energy services, and quick hang-ups when challenged—classic red flags for phishing or sales fraud. Block the number immediately and report it to your phone provider or Action Fraud. Never share personal details; legitimate advisors from councils or utilities won't cold-call like this. Stay vigilant to protect your privacy and avoid potential financial traps.
