Expert Opinion
Calls from this number are being described as debt recovery attempts by several users. Narratives online flag the number as a line linked to The Zinc Group, with repeated, often automated, attempts to extract personal or payment details, frequently citing NatWest or other banks. The pattern suggests persistent, harassing tactics typical of a debt collector rather than an official bank. If you receive such a call, hang up immediately and verify any claim by contacting the original creditor directly using official contact details. Do not share banking information or passwords. Register the number with your provider's spam‑blocking service and report the incident to Action Fraud. Keeping records of timestamps can aid any future investigation.

I've had several calls from this number lately. Every time I answer, they disconnect.
This is a legitimate debt collection agency located in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, known as The Zinc Group. They contact individuals only if there’s an outstanding debt. The number is a standard landline, so calls should be covered under your usual phone plan.
Upon reading the comments, it's clear that the Zinc Group are debt collectors who buy outstanding debts at a fraction of the cost, then harrass debtors to pay the full amount, however debts can become unenforcable after 6 years unless payments have been made
Daily, I am being bombarded with numerous calls from this and various other numbers, requesting to speak to ‘you only’. They seem unaware of my name when I inquire. One message indicated they were Zinc Management on behalf of NatWest. The calls originate from London numbers, Stratford Upon Avon, and Wales. I felt the caller was attempting to extract as much information from me as possible since he lacked any specifics.
Given the staggering number of complaints, over 26,000, it's astonishing that no authority has stepped in to investigate and shut down this company, which seems to be operating with impunity.

It's essential to be cautious when dealing with debt collectors; if you owe money, make sure to pay the rightful creditor, and if you're struggling, consider seeking advice from your local Citizens Advice office, as they can provide guidance on managing debt and avoiding scams.
