Domestic & General insurance scam calls – how to stop them!

On Thursday 48/22, I recieved a call from 01865 418005, which was an obvious scam about renewing home appliance cover I never had, they even offered me a 35% discount, but I played along for a bit before saying I would pay £0.00, which was ammusing for my friend who was listning in.

I received my second call this week from a representative claiming to be from a domestic appliance company, who spoke with a convincing English accent and no background noise. The caller, Jennifer, transferred me to another individual, who quoted me a price of £473 for a two-year policy, including one free year. However, when I expressed my intention to pay by direct debit, I was informed that this would incur an additional monthly fee of £20, which raised my suspicions, and I eventually revealed that I believed the call to be a scam

A fake insurance company, Domestic & General, is using this number to try to obtain bank account details, so be cautious

The caller inquired about a person named Mark, despite having the correct address, and claimed to be from Alliance and Leicester, but it was clear that this was a scam

I had 3 consecutive calls from this number, the first 2 calls hung up, the 3rd time, the man said he was calling from Domestic & General Insurance

My landline was called. I remained silent and just listened. They repeatedly requested my name before disconnecting. Based on earlier comments, it seems to be a scam. The caller had an English accent.

The caller claimed to be from Domestic & General, offering a contract deal that seemed too good to be true, and requested payment by card only.

It's worth notin that they dont say Domestic and General Insurance, just Domestic Insurance, I've had 3 calls from them and my neighbour almost gave them bank details, they should be shut down

This call was an attempt to scam me into purchasing home appliance insurance.
