Recieved a call from a number claiming to be the UK lottery, offering 10 free lines for 5p from Dec to Feb. They already had my address and name. I provided my sort code and account number but not my pin. They said I would recieve a welcome pack with tickets and a direct debit form to sign. The caller sounded genuine, I could hear background noise of others talking to customers. Can you help me? Are they a scam? What can they do without my 3-digit security code? Thanks.

Allegedly, a call from Lotto attempting to sell additional lines for the Lotto and Euromillions draws. They claimed this was to boost interest due to reduced participation during the Pandemic. They wanted £12 a week and requested my bank details and date of birth, having my name and address. The caller claimed to be Eddie Jones, the England Rugby Manager!! This feels like a scam to me.
