Avoid picking up, they are taking 39 pounds from me each month. They called, and I only realised after the fact. I attempted to refuse but he wouldn’t listen, now I'm anxious about whether I should destroy my bank card and order a new one, and I'm unsure if I need to contact the police.

Expert Opinion
Like a rigged carnival game promising golden tickets, the calls from +44 20 3000 7659 lure victims with fake lottery wins and monthly fees. Callers habitually claim they have your name, address and even a competition entry, then pressure you for bank details or a £‑39 subscription. Never give personal or financial information to unsolicited callers, and hang up as soon as the pitch turns to payment. Register the number with the Telephone Preference Service, block it on your handset and report the abuse to OFCOM. Keep a log of call times and any recorded messages – it helps authorities trace the operation.

Recieved a call from a number claiming to be the UK lottery, offering 10 free lines for 5p from Dec to Feb. They already had my address and name. I provided my sort code and account number but not my pin. They said I would recieve a welcome pack with tickets and a direct debit form to sign. The caller sounded genuine, I could hear background noise of others talking to customers. Can you help me? Are they a scam? What can they do without my 3-digit security code? Thanks.
