Revolut scam calls – how to protect yourself!

It began with a phishing email requesting a £1.45 redelivery fee, noting my Revolut account. Afterwards, a call came from a number identical to the one listed on Revolut’s website, claiming I was a victim of postal fraud and urging me to move all my money to a “safer” account. Remember: Revolut never calls; they only offer in‑app chat. Any voice call from that number pretending to be Revolut staff is a clear scam!

Linked to a COVID-19 PCR smishing scam aiming to steal card details. Claimed to be from Revolut's fraud team. They hung up when I refused to share information and said I'd contact Revolut directly. The caller sounded believable but was likely part of the scam. I almost fell for it as I was expecting NHS contact about a PCR test. Luckily, I used a Revolut disposable card, so no harm was done. I quickly cancelled the card and avoided further issues by recognizing the scam. A close call indeed. If they obtain your Revolut PIN and mobile number, they could lock you out of your account.
