De lyckades skaffa mina kortuppgifter, namn och telefon. Först gjordes några transaktioner som automatiskt blockerades i Revolut-appen. Därefter ringde de från ett nummer som ser ut att vara äkta Revolut‑nummer enligt Google och frågade om jag gjort transaktionerna. När jag nekade, sade de att jag skulle få en säkerhetskod via SMS för att återställa kortet.

Got some fake bank calls from that number :(

Beware of callers, texts or emails that claim to be from your bank, police or telecom provider and request personal or financial data, or ask you to transfer money. In my case they pretended to be from Revolut, asked for details of my last transaction to seem like a verification, then tried to persuade me to move my funds to another bank so they could steal them if they obtained my code!

Last week I got a bogus “security” SMS from this number about my credit card – after previously falling for a phishing text about a DPD delivery fee and handing over my address, phone and card details. The message said the card was on temporary hold and they'd call me, which they did. The call sounded legit; they verified my address but slipped up on a few details (they didn’t know my bank, and I’d already cancelled that card). Watch out – the number shown actually belongs to Revolut, I think.

A scam ‘security’ text arrived from this number concerning my credit card (last week I fell for a phishing message about a DPD delivery fee and mistakenly gave my address, phone and card number) – it claimed the card was on temporary hold and that they would call, which they did. The call sounded convincing, confirming my address, though they slipped on a few details (didn’t know my bank) and I had already canceled that card. Be cautious. The number in the text appears to belong to Revolut bank.
