Holiday Scam Alert: Don't Lose Your Deposit

Beware: a caller identifying himself as Mike, speaking Hindi with an Asian accent, used the number 020 3371 9581 – a known scam line copied from a travel site. My bank halted the transactions; block the number immediately.

Someone named Rebecca claimed to offer a holiday to Tenerife, withdrew £1,400 from my account and sent bogus booking details. The money appeared as two transfers to BKGbooking.com and Love Holidays. After I discovered the fraud, I requested a refund; she emailed that it had been processed and would arrive within 14 days. Over 15 days have now passed and she’s stopped answering calls or emails.
