London Mint scam calls – how to protect yourself!
Summary — +442038293951
Expert Opinion
Stop the calls – they’re almost certainly a fraudulent coin‑selling scam. Unsolicited numbers that claim to be the London Mint often use a foreign accent and push a “special deal” on rare coins, then disappear when you reject them. The safest move is to let the call go to voicemail, block the number on your handset and register it with the Telephone Preference Service. Report the number to Action Fraud and inform your mobile provider, as they can add it to a broader blacklist. Never disclose personal or payment details to unknown callers, and keep a log of call times in case you need evidence later.

In a moment of weakness, I disclosed my name and hospital number while waiting for a call back from the hospital, which has left me concerned about potential repercussions, as I usually handle such calls more effectively.
A suspicious individual attempted to persuade me to transfer my pension, but refused to disclose their identity or company name
I picked up the call by mistake, expecting another one, and was greeted by a heavily accented person who struggled to pronounce my name corectly, so I hung up and blocked the number.
For the past month, I've received multiple daily calls from this number, but I've never answered as they never leave a voicemail.
A call came through at 8:45 am, but I couldn't comprehend what he was saying, so he hung up. After using 1471, I called back, and it went to an answering machine claiming to be the London Mint and offering a callback. One comment indicates that this number doesn't correspond with the London Mint's website. I've purchased coins from them before, and they don't make calls to sell items; they send out information via post. I'm nearly certain this is a scam.
It's absolutly the London Mint office, I made a huge mistake by answearing and expresing intrest in buying a speciel coin, the woman on the phone was pushy and demanded £800 immediatly, I told her where to go and hung up, but they've been calling me 3-4 times daily sinse, and even started using withheld numbers which I've now blocked, but todays calls had the +44 prefix which bypassed the block, it's totaly harrasment and I've had to block that aswell
I believe London Mint has had past interactions with them.
This number has been calling me alot, 2 or 3 times a day, dont leave a message, its really annoyin
A cold call was made by an individual with a foreign accent, claiming to represent the London Mint Office. After requesting that they not call again, the phone was hung up. However, upon dialling 1471, the provided number did not match the contact details listed on their website.
The caller continuelly rings, but either doesnt answer or hangs up immediatly, making it impossiable to determine who it is or what they want
A woman called, claiming to be from the London Mint Office. I had purchased a coin from them years ago, but I closed the account later. She offered a newly minted £2 coin, but I declined. She ignored my refusal and continued trying to sell another coin. I said 'No thank you' and ended the call. Based on others' experiences, it was clearly a scam. A complete nuisance and waste of time. I've now blocked the number.
The London Mint Office sent me a free coin, only charging for postage. While acceptable, they later tried to sell me pricier coins from the series, which I declined.
I received multiple calls from this number last week, with the caller claiming I had ordered a coin; despite blocking the number, I received another call while walking my children to school
