Allarme truffa WhatsApp: cosa fare!

De eerste oproep kwam van een gespoofd nummer met een zwaar West-Afrikaans accent dat me vroeg een Zoom‑meeting te joinen; daarna belde een ander nummer me om een WhatsApp‑code te herhalen, wat de scammers in staat stelde mijn account over te nemen.

I initially got a call from the spoofed number +447596956806, with a strong West African accent urging me to join a Zoom meeting. Shortly after, another call from +442038564522 asked me to repeat the WhatsApp verification code. That code would let the scammers access my WhatsApp on a new device, enabling them to hijack the account and impersonate me to swindle emergency funds from my contacts.

Dopo aver ricevuto la prima chiamata da un numero contraffatto con accento africano occidentale, mi hanno chiesto di partecipare ad una riunione su Zoom, poi e' arrivata un'altra chiamata da un altro numero che mi chiedeva di leggere un codice di approvazione di WhatsApp, che in realta' era un trucco per accedere al mio account e chiedere soldi ai miei contatti, quei bastardi

Subsequently, +442038564522 rang, demanding I recite a WhatsApp verification code. Unknowingly, this code would permit access to my WhatsApp on a different device, enabling fraudsters to impersonate me and solicit funds from my contacts.
