Scam callers posing as TPS – how to protect yourself!

This number contacted me, claiming to be an Asian lady from TPS, attempting to upgrade my service, but it was clear this was a ploy to obtain my credit card details and other sensative information.

My elderly mother was targeted by a caller claiming to represent TPS, who attempted to convince her to upgrade her services.

The usual scammer, a woman with an asian accent, claiming to be from TPS, she had my details right, but then ask for my credit card details, i strung her along then cut her off, these scammers need to be shut down

An Asian accent asked for a Mr xxxx, but I'm a woman with a distinctly different voice! The name was entirely incorrect! They wanted to identify who they were speaking with. I hung up and subsequently blocked the number.

A call was made by an individual named Eva, claiming to be from TPS, which was identified as a scam, raising concerns about the persistence of such numbers.

A woman with an Asian accent, purportedly from the Telephone Preference Service, contacted me from 02039041204.

Claimed to be from the TPS, requesting verification of card details and direct debit confirmation with BT, despite not being our provider. Upon questioning the legitimacy, they disconnected. The number is non-existent, and we've blocked our card. Absolutely furious with these scammers.

My 78-year-old mother-in-law received a call from an Asian man, claiming to be from the TPS, who said he could stop nuisance Amazon calls, but this was clearly a scam.

They called and asked for my personal details. obviously scammers. now blocked

I avoided answering this call, as it matched the pattern of previous calls I've received at the same time of day, typically involving a dramatic message about a hacked bank or credit card

Told the guy i was the head of microsoft security, he said he wasnt from microsoft, then i said i was the boss of security at microsoft, he just said have a nice day, obviusly a scammer

I was contacted by Eva from the telephone preference service, asking if I still recieved unwanted calls, I told her she was one of them.

Upon recieving a call from the telephone preference centre, they claimed to upgrade me due to unwanted calls, however they had acces to all my details and asked for my card expiry date which seemed suspisous

A woman with a South Asian accent called, claiming to be from the telephone prefrence service, and asked if i was still recieving nuisance calls, she then asked to confirm my name, at which point i ended the call, it was clearly a scam, obviosly
