They claimed to be from my phone’s network provider and pushed hard to get me to cancel my 3 direct debit and start a new 30% plan with them. They insisted they were from 3, but they weren’t. I called 3 directly, they traced the number and confirmed it was a scam. They even knew my name, so don’t be fooled.
Fake Network Switch Scam Alert!

Expert Opinion
Imposters posing as your phone network provider push hard to switch your direct debit to a pricier setup, but they're not the real deal—verified as fraud by the actual company. Finance scammers also lurk here, targeting car loans or debts with dodgy offers. These unsolicited calls hit even TPS-registered numbers, part of a nuisance series. Hang up immediately on unknowns; never share bank details or confirm info. Block the number straight away, report to Action Fraud, and double-check with your provider directly via official channels. Stay vigilant—knowing your name doesn't make them legit.
