Another fraudulent attempt by a curry enthusiast. They operate without fear, making it hard to stop their calls. I’ve decided to fight back, adopting "strat mode 3". Mentioning their "non-platonic relationship with Peppa" seems to be reducing their calls.
A request for a meter reading was made, allegedly due to a faulty meter, despite our use of a smart meter; the caller claimed to represent EDF, a company we are not affiliated with.

A woman called, asking me to go and read the meter, but I coudnt hear which company she was from. She rang again, but I didnt anser, as it seemed suspisous.
These scammers are a nuisance, they should be reported to the autorities, the National Cyber Security Centre website has a section on PHISHING with details on how to report suspisous activity
The person who called me was very agressive, and wouldnt take no for an answer, they were trying to sell me something, but i didnt give them any information, as they seemed really dodgy
Another Asian scam call, this time pretending to be from our energy provider. They named the company (easily accessible information) and claimed our meter needed changing—a common tactic to extract details. I mentioned receiving many scam calls and asked for email confirmation. They tried to maintain the act by Googling our email and asking for confirmation. I simply told them to use the one on file, and they hung up.
Received multiple calls from someone pretending to represent Yorkshire Gas & Power. They knew my father’s name and our postcode, claiming our meter was faulty and needed replacement. After a brief response, I hung up and blocked the number.
SCAMMER - Pretended to be from our energy company but wouldn’t specify which one. Threatened to cut off our supply if we didn’t provide a meter reading. Their aggressive tactics were almost funny. I enjoyed arguing with them for 10 minutes. Please don’t give them any information.

Called relentlessly, ten times in ten minutes, aggressive and persistent. Warned the caller of police involvement if they called again, yet they persisted. Only stopped when I called my husband using the same phone.
