Chinese Embassy scam calls – how to protect yourself!

A man claiming to be from the Chinese embassy in the UK called, but his language skills were poor, and he hung up after I asked him to identify himself.

The person on the other end was unable to speak English propely. It's laughable that they're using a UK line for a scam.

Absolutely a fraudulent call, avoid answering it at all costs

A call was received from an individual claiming to represent the Chinese embassy, requesting personal information for a Covid-19 health status form. As soon as I realized the nature of the call, I hung up.

This number is associated with a scam in which the caller claims to represent the Chinese Embassy.

They obtained my name and number, then impersonated an embassy representative.

I highly advise against answering this call.

Dont bother answering this call, it looks like its from the chinese consulate but its been hijacked, they will try to get your personal informations, I tried calling them back and it was the real consulate, they told me they dont use this line to make calls

I want to warn everyone that this number is not affiliated with the Chinese embassy, and you should exercise caution when interacting with it

After declining the initial call, it rang again, and upon answering, I was greeted with a beep followed by a Chinese greeting, which led me to terminate the call and investigate further, confirming my suspicion that it was a scam

They scam people pretending to be the Chinese Embassy asking for Health registration and report, its very suspicious
