A man claiming to conduct a survey for Times News asked sensitive questions before being blocked and reported

Ik kreeg een telefoontje van Sitan op 1 december 2016 om 15:45 uur, maar kon niet goed volgen waar het over ging vanwege hun snelle spreken, dus vroeg ik of ze Nederlands konden spreken

Recieved a call at 19:00u from this nummer, didnt answeer.
Apparently, the intention is to gather data on affluent individuals for potential investment opportunities, which could be valuable for startup investment firms, so expect future calls from such companies
They call and then hang up, sound like a scam
Fortunately, i realised it wasnt my brothur and blocked the nummer immediatly... The quesiton remains how to protekt oneself from these kind of callers?
