Upon answering, a voice inquired if I was Mr 88888888. When I asked who I was conversing with, he provided his name, sounding distinctly foreign. Deciding to keep him engaged as long as I could, I listened to his pitch about free machine insurance. Meanwhile, I searched the number online, which indicated it was a scam, but he insisted otherwise. I then questioned whether to trust my computer or him. Finally, I suggested he find a proper job instead of troubling elderly folks like myself. Wishing him a MERRY CHRISTMAS, I ended the call.

This is a SCAM. They persistently call from various but similar numbers, essentially attempting to acquire my bank details. It’s all nonsense and fraudulent.
