Just another scam call.
Someone rang claiming I’d recently set up a TikTok shop account; when I asked for the username they said none existed, and the same answer came when I asked how to verify it. I told them I’ve never bought or sold on TikTok and they hung up. Clearly a scam – stay vigilant.
Calls keep coming from someone claiming to represent a ‘TikTok shop’. I chatted with the caller, my mates and I grilled him and called him out as a scammer. The numbers kept ringing, so I blocked them.

This was a cold call spam – total con.
Absolute scum of the earth; I terminated the call immediately.
A call claiming to be from TikTok Shop knew my shop code—something only I and TikTok should know, likely published somewhere. They insisted they didn’t usually make calls, saying support is only via tickets, which made me reluctant to share any details.
They pretended to be from TikTok Shop, yet already knew my email and phone, even though my shop has no products listed yet; I’m uncertain about trusting them despite actually having a TikTok Shop.
