Posed as Worldpay rep promising £1 monthly fees, then quizzed about a card terminal... blatant con, so I messed around a bit until they bailed.
Worldpay Scam Alert!
Summary — +442081294398
Expert Opinion
Proceed with caution when receiving unsolicited calls about payment solutions, as these often mask fraudulent schemes. Comments consistently highlight attempts to impersonate Worldpay, pushing suspiciously cheap card machine deals from callers with thick accents, likely from overseas operations. This pattern screams scam, with persistent harassment and evasion of clarity. Block the number immediately and report it to your phone provider or Action Fraud to curb further nuisances. Never share business details or payment info over such calls—verify directly with legitimate companies like Worldpay through official channels. Staying vigilant protects your operations from potential data theft or financial loss.

It was a call centre attempting to sell me a card reader. I couldn't identify the company due to his accent being so thick that I could hardly understand his request. The only part I caught was my company name and 'card reader', then I hung up.
