Pretending to be from O2, I called him out for the scam. He became rude, saying 'F you, goodbye' before hanging up. Questioning their morals seems to upset them. Let's stand up to these scammers and make them think twice 😀

Expert Opinion
It seems a group of scammers are targeting individuals, using misleading methods to obtain personal and financial details. They often claim to be from reputable financial institutions, such as credit investigation bureaux or everyday loans, to gain trust. However, these calls are scams, often requesting an upfront fee to verify your identity, which is non-refundable. If confronted, they may switch tactics, using moral pressure or religious references. The advice is clear: do not provide personal information, hang up immediately, and report these calls to your local authorities. If you suspect a scam, trust your instincts and stay vigilant. These scammers are after more than just your money; they want your personal data, which can lead to significant financial and personal loss.

These scammers pretended to be from Norton Antivirus and even sent a fake invoice for nearly £400
Scammers are sending fraudulent invoices. Avoid engaging with them.
Definitely a scam attempt.
Received a call, answered as it's a London number but was cautious. They offered a £1500 loan, got my name wrong but had my postcode. Hung up before proceeding further; I suspect if I stayed, they would offer an unbelievably good loan but ask for an upfront fee to 'ensure' repayment. Clearly a scam—nothing comes for free.
The repeated hang-ups from this number over several days have led me to block it, as I believe it to be a scam.
No one ever speaks when they call, then they just hang up
Upon receiving a call from this number, I noticed a slight deviation in their approach, as they claimed to have obtained my details from a credit investigation bureau and proceeded to verify my postcode, which I disputed; they then attempted to extract more information, but I confronted the caller, who became abusive and eventually ended the conversation.
They called again, slightly changed their approach. Claimed to have my postcode from a credit investigation bureau. I told them the postcode and date of birth were wrong. Mentioned a bank loan to see their reaction. They called back with a different name and tried to verify details. Asked for a one-time fee for verification, which they said would be refunded. Confronted him, he insulted me, and I ended the call.
I wanted to update my previous post. They called back, ignoring our disagreement. The number 0161 388 9888 is still attempting to scam. When I confronted him, he said he'd end the call if I used profanity. I replied that 'scammer' isn't profanity.
