I reached out to ID through their online chat, and an hour later, I got a call from this number. I could hear some background noise, but they hung up without saying anything.

I received a call from this number and called back their London office. The person insisted no payment details were needed and was polite. However, ID Mobile confirmed it's a scam.

I'm unsure about trusting this call. The man's voice sounds like a scammer. He asked for a family member by name. This is the second time I've gotten a call supposedly from a phone dealer. The other five times, it went to voicemail or was ignored, marked as spam. This time, it didn't. It's suspicious because a legitimate dealer would have other numbers if they contacted the wrong person. Now, they've called eight times.

A representative claiming to be from ID mobile’s head office contacted me regarding an available upgrade (which was accurate, though I’m unsure how they obtained that information). They proceeded to offer a new phone deal, and everything seemed legitimate, including an authentic-looking email they sent. However, upon closer inspection, the email address didn’t match ID mobile’s official one. The caller inquired about insurance policies and equipment included in the deal, assuring me that all conversations were recorded for privacy. I declined, stating I’d wait until the phone arrived before insuring it. He agreed and ended the call, but the device never showed up. Fortunately, I didn’t share any personal details, but these scammers are highly skilled.

After answering, the caller claimed to be from iD Mobile, stating my handset needed to be checked for 5G compatibility due to the company's transition, and inquired about interest in new deals, but no email confirmation was found, suggesting this was a scam.
