This is a complete scam. They manage to acquire your phone number and banking information through platforms like TikTok, and when you cancel your card, they call to request your date of birth. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM!
I contacted Lloyds bank directly using the number provided on their official site, and this number does belong to them. While it’s possible for scammers to post false information here, I recommend obtaining the number from Lloyds' website. They were reaching out to confirm some suspicious transaction attempts. It's safer to handle this over the phone rather than via SMS!
Initially, we thought this was a scam, but after a follow-up call, we confirmed with Lloyds that it was genuine and they helped my daughter with a payment issue
Turns out it was a genuin call from Lloyds, they were just checking on a unusual payment, didnt ask me any personal questions, or for my bank details, so thats alright then

Recieving a series of texts, landline and mobile calls from this number, all claiming a recent transaction had been stopped, was quite alarmning. I chose not to respond or answer any calls, instead I contacted Lloyds the next day using their trusted number and they confimed it was a legitamate attempt to contact me regarding the transaction. It's always best to verify such claims by calling the bank directly using a trusted number.
