A suspicious call was made on 27/01/2024, supposedly from the bank of Scotland fraud departement, but it was later confimred as a scame by my local branch

I’ve received four calls from this number today. They asked about an Uber Eats transaction, which I denied. My phone flagged it as suspected spam, and I believe it’s a scam.

Received a call this morning from someone claiming to be from the Bank of Scotland fraud department, asking me to enter numbers for a security check. Knowing better, I refused and contacted my bank, only to discover an attempt to use my details, which the bank had blocked.

This is a sophisticated fraud attempt. I received a convincing text from 07401232854 about a failed payment, followed by calls from +443330459575. The caller quickly asked for my account number, and when I refused, they ended the call. Halifax confirmed it was a scam, and fraudulent transactions were made on my account.
