Suspicious Calls Claiming E.ON Ties?
Summary — +443331380014
Expert Opinion
Block this number immediately to avoid unwanted intrusions. These calls impersonate E.ON, a major energy supplier, but reports reveal inconsistencies like fake renewal details and refusal to provide written quotes. Scammers often know basic personal info to build trust, yet hang up or get aggressive when challenged. Register with TPS if not already, and report to Ofcom for persistent harassment. Never share account details over unsolicited calls—verify directly with the company via official channels. If pressured, end the call and note the time for complaints. Staying vigilant protects against potential fraud attempts.

Pushy fraudsters on energy. Insist they're our supplier. But our renter handles the utilities, so if legit, they'd be aware. They obviously don't know squat. We're registered with TPS, informed them repeatedly, but they keep pestering, so I'll file an official grievance with TPS.
An English chap rang, purporting to be from E-on. Midway, he brought up our E-on deal expiring with a 6.85% hike, asking if I'd extend. I requested a written or emailed quote; he claimed they don't do that and no firm does now. I challenged it and asked if he truly worked for E-on; he got riled, insisting he did and wasn't from an external firm. I refused to renew verbally, and he said it's their policy. Highly dubious, I told him no deals over the phone and to mail an official quote if they want my business.
Received a call from a posh-sounding Englishman seeking my dad by his given name. Since Dad passed years back, I clocked it as fraud instantly. Queried his identity and he hung up.
Call from Indian centre promoting low-cost energy with EON
Received a call from this number just now; a young guy with an English accent claimed to be from E-ON, saying my contract is ending soon. I kept him on hold while I grabbed my recent bill - he knew my postcode and mentioned trouble loading my account, asking if I'm out of contract. By then, I'd checked the back of my bill, and it doesn't expire until July 25. I said it was too early and ended the call. After looking up the number here, it's now blocked.
Inquired specifically for my spouse, claiming our Eon Next agreement at a particular location needed renewing. Upon hearing we weren't customers, he hung up. Sounded very polished, British accent.
They requested me specifically by name. Said they were from EON calling about our account renewal. But we switched from EON ages ago. Fraudulent call. Obviously some third-party hawker earning commission per deal closed. When pressed on their actual origin, they disconnected.
Phoned our company requesting to talk to director ******, pretending to represent EON energy. When informed we'd recently renewed and wouldn't connect them, they used foul language and ended the call. Obviously not genuine.
Pretended our gas renewal was due. Informed them we have no gas and called the liar out.
Said they were from my EON energy account. Never had one with EON, yet they knew my name.
Phoned asserting they wished to review my renewable electricity supply today! Requested an email confirmation, and unsurprisingly, none arrived
