Expert Opinion
Imagine your phone lights up and the voice on the other end says they’re from O2, promising a discount or upgrade. In reality, most of these calls are spoofed attempts to harvest personal data or push unwanted contracts. Never confirm account details, passwords, or payment info unless you’ve initiated the call through O2’s official website or app. Hang up, block the number, and report it to your carrier’s fraud team. Consider enabling call‑screening or a third‑party blocker, and regularly review your account activity for any unauthorized changes. Staying skeptical and verifying through trusted channels is the best defense against this scam.
