Expert Opinion
?Ever wonder why a familiar bank number keeps popping up on your caller ID? The pattern shows scammers spoofing the official Lloyds Bank helpline to harvest personal data or push fraudulent activation codes. They often claim account compromise, request names, DOB, or login details, and rely on urgency to pressure victims. Never share passwords, PINs, or verification codes over the phone. If you receive an unexpected call, hang up, verify using the number on the back of your card or the bank’s official website, and report the incident to the fraud department. Block the number and stay alert to similar texts or emails.

Today, I got two unexpected texts from this number; the first acknowledged receipt of a Mandate request with a promise to update me on the application status, and the second, sent 10 minutes later, claimed the request was complete, which is puzzling since I don't have a TSB account and hadn't initiated any contact.
